KMAC Contemporary Art Museum ("KMAC") is Louisville's premier contemporary art museum, located in downtown Louisville on Museum Row. Through exhibitions, education, and outreach, KMAC works to connect people to art and creative practice.
The museum is always free to children, students, and Kentucky teachers. Guests can see engaging exhibitions and explore with family guides and seek-and-finds in the galleries. On our first floor, guests can enjoy hands-on activities in Studio 715, grab a drink in our café, and browse our artfully curated gift shop.
At KMAC, we connect with artists of all ages. Tiny Art Tales is a free weekly story time for pre-k aged kids. This program takes place every Friday from 10:30 - 11:15am. Come to one of the quarterly free Family Fun Days to meet artists, create community art, and make your own art in the education studio. We also offer youth/teen camps and family workshops offered throughout the year.
Exhibitions rotate multiple times a year, so there is always something new to see and do at KMAC!
KMAC is open Tuesday through Sunday 10am-5pm. General Admission is $8; Seniors $5; Children, Students, KY Teachers, KMAC Members, EBT/Snap Cardholders; and members of the TARC Riders Club are free.
